Life Coaching is a process of identifying one or more areas of your life you want to change, determining where you currently are, getting a snapshot of where you want to go, and developing a strategy for how to get there. This will involve setting goals and being accountable to your life coach in meeting the goals.
While there are some similarities in the objectives of life coaching, counseling and mentoring, life coaching is very unique in its approach. Coaching is different because we don't advise, instruct, teach, or diagnose, as with counseling or mentoring. And the focus is on the future rather than the past.
Why consider life coaching? Coaching blends taking an honest look at where you are and developing a vision for your future. The process of coaching helps you to identify what you like, what you are passionate about, what you are gifted for, helps you build self-confidence, and become more skilled in specific areas. Life Coaching shapes vision, ignites dreams, and provides a practical way to make it a reality. By way of developing a relationship with you, the life coach builds trust by becoming a friend and confidant. Coaching is a relationship built on trust and accountability. A good coach is a great listener and knows how to ask the right questions.

Getting Started

Keep in mind that you will be developing a relationship/friendship with your life coach. The next step is to identify an area where you want to change, such as time management, marriage relationship, or maybe you want to see personal spiritual growth. Once this area for change is identified, we will figure out together the steps to take to bring about the desired change. Although much can be accomplished in one session, it can easily take 4 sessions to really start developing new habits and reaching goals.
You are in charge. You choose what is discussed, which goals you would like to achieve, and action steps you will take to reach your goals. As your life coach, I will listen attentively, ask important questions to begin the thought process, and help you determine your goals. I will check your progress each session to see if you are succeeding at meeting your goals and taking the steps we have agreed upon. When you have not met the goals and completed the steps we will identify the obstacles and make adjustments as needed.
To begin a coaching relationship you can schedule a free, no obligation, 30-minute session first. Please Submit a contact form, and I will contact you within 24 hours. You and I will agree upon a date and time for the free session. This gives you an opportunity to see if you are ready for coaching and that I am the right coach for you. There is no geographical restriction with the process because we will accomplish everything via telephone and email. There is no obligation to continue if you are not settled on it.
If you decide to continue the coaching relationship you can purchase 1 session or 4 sessions at a discounted rate. Once payment is received I will send you a coaching agreement form and a personal information form, which needs to be emailed to me 24 hours before the next session. We will then schedule the date and time of the next session. You will begin to discover the great benefits of having a personal life coach!
